This is your class' Literature blog. You are allowed to comment on your friends' opinions, and all are allowed to have different perspectives, but make your remarks responsible and constructive. We are here to learn, and not to insult.
Before we proceed, here are some guidelines that all of you should adhere to:

I think Joseph closed his eyes because he heard what Anna had forgive his apology while he was very ill. His other family came to his funeral, the mistress and her two children. The mistrees who had given him love and childern which Anna could not give him. Joseph will feel a sudden relief. I think these are the reason that cause Joseph to close his eyes.
